I had the pleasure of booking APPA to perform at the Harry Moseley Charity Ball 2013 at the ICC in Birmingham. Professional, talented and colourful – what more could you ask for?! The 1,000 guests there on the evening absolutely loved their performance, and so did I. The guys are are simply a delight; I would highly recommend the group and I’m just hopeful that they will be available to perform at our next event.

A true gem!

Having used APAA on a number of occasions, their energy and attention to detail shines through. Not only are they passionate about what they do, but they are good at it aswell. With both briefs given being in different sectors, their ability to tailor each performance to maximise audience participation really stands them apart from the competitors.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending and using APAA for future events – we have in fact just booked them for yet another gig!

Wow, a professional, fantastic, infectious & energetic group with great young raw talent. I was looking for entertainment ideas to finish my Gala Dinner evening after a long studious 3 day conference attended by a mix of guests from various academic backgrounds, age & nationality. I could not have picked anything better. A great finale plus great feedback from all my guests.  I will definitely be booking again but for a much longer slot!

It was my pleasure to work with the Aston Performing Arts Academy at the 50th Jamaica Independence Celebrations and Farewell to the Athletes show at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. I found the group well rehearsed, very professional in their attitude, and with a determination and belief in their work.

They worked along side seasoned professional including Beverley Knight, Jaki Graham, Musical Youth, Count Prince Miller and Jimmy James on the night and the audience saw their performance as one of the highlights of the evening. As the Artistic Producer of the event I felt the same.

The variety of their stage show is breath taking, and very refreshing to audiences when ever they play. I have also seen the group on other shows including the annual Black International Film Festival held in October in Birmingham. I am happy to say they hold their own, no matter when or where they are performing.

APAA’s ‘Elements of Song’ were brought in to supply entertainment for the Meet Birmingham Showcase dinner 2011 for an audience full of top event organisers in the country. The performance was fantastic and the night was a great success. The song selection was perfect and the delivery was slick and tight. Many of our guests to the event had nothing but positive feedback for the band and indeed some of them ended up booking ‘Elements of Song’ for their own events.

Firstly, on behalf of the Birmingham Local Organising Committee and Birmingham Sport Partnership I would like to thank you for being for attending the level 3 festival and for helping us deliver a successful Birmingham Winter Secondary School Games.

Elements of Sound were part of the Opening Ceremony of the Birmingham Winter Secondary School Games festival, which saw 175 teams consisting of over 900 youngsters take part in the event which was sponsored by Sainsbury’s. The performance was brilliant and created a great atmosphere in the build up to the sports competitions for all athletes, volunteers and officials taking part in the Games. Feedback from competitors to organisers was full of positivity and praise for Elements of Sound and would welcome them back to be involved with future events!’
